[Salvage for glass substrate and/or CF]
As the size of glass substrate has been large,
it is considered that the cost impact of glass substrate will become significant when defects on large size glass substrate occur.
KURAMOTO has proposed "Salvage Processing."
It is possible to salvage and reuse the NG glass substrate by "Re-cutting" and/or "Salvage Polishing."
"Salvage processing" will also be applied to processed substrate such as CF substrate after they are identified NG.
Salvaging and reusing glass substrate will reduce total coast on LCD production and will eventually lead to saving limited natural resource on earth.
